Mildred's entries in the final chapter of the book "Trust" by Hernan Diaz continue to occupy my attention more than 24 hours later.

At times, I find myself shackled by the same self-imposed silence, only writing when I feel my words are sufficiently earth-shattering. The true secret is this, of course: write with reckless abandon. Pour your heart out in torrents or droplets, but never let silence prevail. Write anything, and when inspired, write more. Write little, write a lot, but never write nothing. That’s kind of the secret. Always write.

And so, that's what I just did.
