Meetings with "Pepper" on Calendar Invites

Maybe this should have been titled Good Calendar Etiquette.

A few times a week I receive calendar invites from others where the title of the invite is "Meeting with Pepper" or "Pepper Breakfast" or "Call Pep". I appreciate that my last name is still the dominant way people refer to me. Makes me feel young, especially when its Pep.

However, when the big day arrives its super unclear who I am actually meeting with because the inviter did not put their own name on the invite. Sometimes I have to dig a bit. Not the end of the world, but its extra steps and breaks any chance of a quick glance and go.

Bottom-line... my standard is to put my own name on an invite to someone else + that person's first name (since they know their own last name, unless perhaps they share my first name!)

Back in the day, my friends would call this kind of riff one of "Pepper's Pointers" - usually on very different content that would not be share worthy. But they'll be glad to know that Peppers Pointers is back, at least for today.
